“The association “Fredsministerium.dk” (Ministry of peace) is an independent association working for the establishment of a Ministry of Peace in Denmark as an integral part of the national government and trying to convince the public and members of the Danish Parliament of the need for such a ministry.”

“We argue that a Minister of Peace can be the cornerstone in changing Danish foreign and security policy from a war policy to a peace policy. We envision that a Minister of Peace can ensure that peace is incorporated into all policy areas. Peace should have a parliamentary ministry just like the environment has.”

The association “Fredsministerium.dk” is a member of an international network of peace organizations, www.gamip.org, working to establish peace ministries in their respective countries. “

Peace City Copenhagen

Peace City Copenhagen wants to work for the establishment of a Ministry of Peace in Denmark. The association “Fredsministerium.dk” (Ministry of Peace) came up with this idea long before us and was founded in 2012 with the purpose of pushing for Denmark to establish a Ministry of Peace.
