Peace City Copenhagen believes in shared responsibility and that the individual citizen can make a difference.

The association works for world peace through peaceful means, for a balanced distribution of the earth’s resources and for sustainable development.

We want to make working for peace a city-wide project – and we want it to be both fun and meaningful.

The association’s aim is part of the UN’s 17th Global Goals – primarily Global Goal 16 Peace, justice and strong institutions.

“SDG 16 is one of the most controversial goals, but also one of the most important.

It’s about the organization of society, the relationship between state and citizen, the role and function of the state, the fight against corruption and terrorism, the link between security and development, human rights and international law and the reform of global institutions”.
